Yanagi (Yanagiba) is widely used throughout all of japan by professionals. The blade is narrow and long enabling it to slice through fish fiber without pushing or sawing the tender filet, the edge of the blade is extremely thin to create a clear and straight edge on each slice of the sashimi.

The blade is made of VG10(V Gold 10), razor sharp edge and rust resistance steel, in between 17-layer hammer eyes damascus. These knives have a hard special alloy thrust into 17 Damascus layers.
The handle is triple riveted to the full tang, which gives exceptional strength & durability. It's designed for efficiency and comfort and perfectly balanced construction which make you comfortable even for a long time use.
